2004 Break Down of Classes. Also info for dummy grid and Super Pole.

Sport Production 600’s, Pro Twins and Class 4. Form up on Pit Lane before heading out on to track, wait for the green light. You will get one warm up lap.
On the grid, you will be in rows of “5”. You will be started by the light... when the red light goes out, GO. But, don’t jump the start.

 Class 1

Production Super Bikes”: This class is for production Super Bikes and will run under current MNZ rules

 Class 2

Sport Production 600's”; This is for Sport Production 600's bikes and will be run under current MNZ rules.

 Class 3

Pro Twins, This class is split into two (2) classes.

Class A is for Multi valve, liquid cooled, 2 cylinder four (4) stroke bikes 701cc and up.

Class B is for Air Cooled four (4) stroke 2 cylinder sport bikes…….. (No cruiser style bikes) and Multi valve, liquid cooled, 2 cylinders, four (4) stroke bikes like the Suzuki SV 650.

No turbo chargers, super chargers or NOS allowed.

 Class 4

This class will be split into two groups.

Group 1 will be the four (4) strokes of F3…….. and anyone on a Sport Production 600 or Superbike that can not be within 107% of the quickest qualifying time of there respective classes. (Those on the big bikes will not be eligible for prizes, as this class is mainly for the small bikes, but so you can still race and enjoy yourself.

Group 2 will be the two (2) strokes from 125 GP and 250 GP class. If there are any of the young riders on there 150’s, they will race off the back of the Group 1 grid.
Make sure you check the timing sheets after your last qualifying session so that you get your grid positions.

 Super Pole

ALL bikes that are to do Super pole are to be on the dummy grid before there Class Super Pole starts. Have your Tyre warmers on etc, but be prepared to leave to do your Super Pole at a moments notice. It will run from the slowest first to the quickest in that order.

The Super Pole numbers have been reduced slightly. Pro Twins is split into there 2 respected classes and the top 5 from each class go through to do Super Pole.

Remember, when you go out to do your Super Pole, you are straight away on your warm up lap and as you come around and cross the start finish line, you will be starting your flying lap. When you come around and finish your flying lap, keep going around the whole track, but remembering not to slow down too much, as there will be someone else coming through on there flying lap.

600 Sport Production, your Super Pole numbers are the top 5 quickest. And Super Bikes, your Super Pole numbers are top 12 quickest.

When one bike actually starts his/hers flying lap the next bike will then be let out to do there warm up lap. Do not slow down too much on your cool down lap, we don’t want the flying lap bike catching up!!!!

SuperBikes, the track will be open at least 15 minutes before your race starts. You will go out around the full track to form up in your grid positions. You will be in rows of 4.

You have to be on the track “10 minutes” before the start of your race. Tyre warmers can be brought out to the track with generators, or leads can be run from the garages.

A “10 minute” board will be held up as well as a sound of a siren/horn, then a “5 minute” board. On the “2 minute” board, bikes are to be started and the track cleared. A 10 second board and “check helmet” board will be shown. Then you will be let off one row at a time for your warm up lap.

You then form back up on the grid and are then under starters orders. So be prepared. DO NOT JUMP THE START.

The Superbike races are the only races to be run using the BLUE FLAG. This is mainly to warn potential back markers of the race leaders coming up on them soon. It will be held out stationary to let them know they are close and then waved to tell the back markers that the leaders are just about on them and to try and leave room.

Every class gets one warm up lap and at the end of each race they also get one complete cool down lap.
Enter the pits off the end of the sweeper. We will be using this entry over the whole event.

Watch your speed in pit lane; 60 kph is the max on the left lane side of pit lane (heading towards the tower) and 15 kph on the right hand lane of pit lane. Also watch your speed around the rest of the pit area, keep it to a minimum. Watch out for the public walking around the pits. We don’t need any accidents or problems.
